This 2-day program provides comprehensive training in the audiometry requirements of Australia’s Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulation/clause 58 which is now in effect in almost all the states and territories of Australis..
This have been a major change for WA audiometric testing. The requirements of the regulation 58 legislation is focused on surveillance (or monitoring) audiometry. Essentially, this means conducting periodic hearing tests and checking for changes (shifts) in hearing from the reference (first test with the current employer). A new Code of Practice and other documents, specify how to conduct surveillance tests.
Compared to the long-standing WorkCover WA requirements, the new law and key reference documents introduce very different processes, protocols and the way results are managed.
This workshop answers these questions and many more.
It is a pathway for WorkCover WA Approved Audiometric Officers (AAO) to achieve compliance with the audiometric surveillance/monitoring protocols specified in WHS regulation 58 and key reference documents.
We also have a 2.5-day version of this course for attendees of the 2-day Intermediate Audiometry Workshop who wish to be assessed as fully competent/compliant with the Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulation/clause 58.
Contact Libby McCarthy, Course Manager: manager@hearingcompany.com.au to discuss this option.
To register your interest, email Libby: manager@hearingcompany.com.au.
This 2-day program runs as from 8:30am to 4:00pm both days.
Students must attend all sessions on both days.
Note: We can also present in-company for organisations with a small group of personnel requiring training. Please contact us to discuss your plans.
